Decision analysis applications often use generic modeling software such as spreadsheets, statistics packages, and financial modeling languages. Specialized software is also available for modeling decision problems using decision trees, influence diagrams, belief networks, multi-attribute utility functions, hierarchical value structures, Monte Carlo simulation, and multi-criteria optimization.
